Pinar de Campoverde
Pinar de Campoverde is one of the very best locations on the Costa Blanca/Costa Calida because it combines all of the main requirements for either full time living or for quality holidays. It is set in pine woods just 10 minutes from lovely Blue Flag sandy beaches with sufficient height to afford good views of the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor yet without the sort of hills that would make you unable to cycle everywhere. There are also views of the distant mountains inland. There is also the choice of the popular Mar Menor for swimming and water sports as it is even 4º warmer than the Mediterranean.
The village of Pinar de Campoverde adjoins a huge protected natural park which is one of the largest natural green areas on the whiole coast. This park, which includes the Rio Seco, is home to many species of flora and fawna with many birds and other wildlife. To the other side is a very attractive 18 hole La Romera golf course also in a natural setting.
Pinar de Campoverde has full amenities including doctors, dentists, pharmacies, supermarkets, library, all types of bars and restaurants all within walking distance. There are also two open air public swimming pools and floodlit tennis courts and 5 a-side football pitches.
The local town od Pilar de Horadada (pop 20,000 approx) is a 10 minute drive and the airport of Murcia San Javier is within 20 minutes and Alicante airport 50 minutes. The historic cities of Cartagena and Murcia with their many attractions and shopping centres are a short drive on excellent and quiet roads.
Finally Pinar de Campoverde is the area of the Costa Blanca which is on the border between the regions of Alicante and Murcia with a micro climate that has some of the very best temperatures in Spain being not too hot in the summer and mild and sunny in the winter (300+ days of sunshine each year)
